This pic was taken on 4-7-2011 around 6:54pm shortly before sunset.  I used f-stop of 5.6.  Exposure time of 1/200sec with ISO of 500.  Zoom was at 170mm.

I set 18-200mm zoom lens at 200mm. I set f/8 with 1/250 SS (shutter speed). ISO automatically set at 1600. This was taken on 4-1-2011 at 6:23pm at home and it was a cloudy day.  I was also standing under a tree which was obviously casting a bit of a shadow which made my face a bit dark.  and of course I took this picture with my Nikon D300s DSLR.

first post

at this blog, i plan to post at least 1 picture in each post that i have taken with my Nikon D300s DSLR and also post the manual settings i used to take that picture.  hopefully this will drum up conversation about each picture and also help photographers to take better photos.  or help beginner photographers.
